Pop-Up Clothing Giveaway: September 28 & 29

Each month, our Pantry serves dozens of individuals and family groups by offering shelf-stable groceries, hygiene items, and household supplies at no cost to those in need.
CHANGES: We’ve recently made a few changes to how our free pantry is operated. Please take note of the following:

• The Pantry will no longer be open on the same week each month. Going forward, when the Pantry is open, it will only be announced that morning.

  1. All patrons must pick up a voucher for that day. Vouchers will ONLY be distributed at the end of the morning worship service.

  2. Donations - Our pantry is dependent upon your generous donations! Thank you for considering how you can contribute and help meet these needs among our church family. Most needed items include:

  Pasta Sauce
  Canned Fruit
  Canned Meat
  Peanut Butter
  Easy-Prep Meals (ramen, mac n’ cheese, ravioli, etc.)
  Toilet Paper
  Laundry Detergent
  Dish Soap
  Deodorant
  Body Wash/Bar Soap
  Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
  
  ***Please DO NOT DONATE:
  Beans
  Canned Vegetables
  Anything Expired

  Please place all contributions on the collection cart in the lobby.

Men and women are needed to provide spiritual discipleship for individuals pursuing recovery from substance abuse. At GBC, sessions are held monthly (on the fourth Thursday of each month) for those working with residents of The Way Recovery Houses to receive training and to pray for the ministry. all other adult classes will be studying passages coinciding with our chronological read-through-the-Bible plan. This is a great place to meet in smaller groups and discuss what we are all reading together as a church. Various classes are available for adults (several open to anyone, one for young adults, and one for just women).

at Providence Place Senior Living & Abbeyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

• • Everyone is invited to join a group from GBC to visit with the residents of Providence Place and Abbeyville Nursing & Rehab! This is an opportunity for our congregation to get to know some of the residents and to bless and encourage them. We also share a time of worship through Scripture, prayer, and congregational singing (led by our GBC Worship Team).

  • After church, meet in our choir room for lunch (pizza provided or bring your own lunch) and to go over that day’s program.

  • Van transportation is provided to and from the facility, or you are free to carpool or simply meet there.

Monthly visitations schedule - all are welcome to join us whenever you can:

• 2nd Sundays at Providence Place Senior Living (1380 Elm Avenue, Lancaster PA 17603)

• Last Sundays at Abbeyville Nursing & Rehab. Center (100 Abbeyville Road, Lancaster PA 17603)

Clothing (for infants/children primarily), along with toys, books, and other items. Everything will be FREE and offered on a first-come, first-served basis (no holds, etc.)
Giveaway will be open:
Monday, September 28: 9am-8pm
Tuesday, September 29: 9am-8pm

Please use the Main Entrance (parking available off Farmingdale Road)

Volunteers are needed for setup Sunday afternoon (September 27), and various times during the Giveaway, and for teardown on Tuesday evening (September 29).
NOTE: we will not be collecting donations for this pop-up giveaway.
