Prayer and praise

  • Starting this month, we are pleased to be able to share our church facility with this small, local congregation for their weekly services. LEMC is comprised of Myanmar ethnic groups who speak in the Burmese language. Please pray for this transition period – for their church leaders and that our brothers and sisters in Christ feel at home here in their new place of worship.

  • Praise God for the opportunity to partner with CEF Lancaster to lead a weekly Good News Club for 15-20 students in grades 1-4. Pray that the leaders would work well together, the children would be open to the gospel, and believers would grow in their love for Jesus.

  • Dana Jackson’s cousin Tammy had a second surgery for her brain tumor, and they got 98% of it out! She will be receiving chemo therapy, radiation, and some sort of infusion(s) now. This is a very good result, and the family is hopeful that this may improve her prognosis (though they might not know more until they can determine how she responds to these treatments.)

  • Pray for God’s peace as he deals with ongoing health struggles. Pray for good treatment options to address pain and other symptoms.

  • passed away on Friday, March 13, at the age of 81. Please keep her family and loved ones in prayer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held here at GBC on Saturday, April 18, at 11:00 am.

  • - Pray for a teen (just turned 13) boy who has a cyst in his neck area. When checked out, the doctor discovered more nodules of some sort in his lymph node area, and one behind his tongue. He said it’s a 50/50 chance that it could either just be reactive tissue to the cyst, or it could be cancer. Please pray for God’s hand of peace and comfort on this family, especially as they await for the insurance’s approval to be able to get a small needle biopsy done. Pray for discerning doctors and good advice, whatever the result is.

  • for the 15 individuals who were baptized on Sunday, March 22, ranging in age from 4 to 83 years! Please keep them in prayer, that God would continue to strengthen their faith and use them as witnesses to His love and grace.
