Men and women are needed to provide spiritual discipleship for individuals pursuing recovery from substance abuse. At GBC, sessions are held monthly (on the fourth Thursday of each month) for those working with residents of The Way Recovery Houses to receive training and to pray for the ministry. all other adult classes will be studying passages coinciding with our chronological read-through-the-Bible plan. This is a great place to meet in smaller groups and discuss what we are all reading together as a church. Various classes are available for adults (several open to anyone, one for young adults, and one for just women).
-
Join a group from GBC Lancaster for a weekend at Arrowhead Bible Camp in Brackney, PA. We will help the camp with projects, cleanup, and prepare for campers.
Cost: $70.00 per person to help cover expenses (note: funding is available if this cost would be prohibitive).
Lodging, food, and travel to and from camp are provided.
Kids and teens welcome, and this is a great opportunity for individuals and entire families to serve together.
Prayer and praise
-
Starting this month, we are pleased to be able to share our church facility with this small, local congregation for their weekly services. LEMC is comprised of Myanmar ethnic groups who speak in the Burmese language. Please pray for this transition period – for their church leaders and that our brothers and sisters in Christ feel at home here in their new place of worship.
-
Praise God for the opportunity to partner with CEF Lancaster to lead a weekly Good News Club for 15-20 students in grades 1-4. Pray that the leaders would work well together, the children would be open to the gospel, and believers would grow in their love for Jesus.

was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma with IDH (wild type of brain tumor). Much of the tumor was removed, and she is receiving radiation and chemotherapy. However, because this is very aggressive and does not respond well to treatment, they gave her a year, at most, to live. Prognosis is generally poor, even with treatment, with less than 5% living beyond 5 years. Prayers are appreciated for Dana’s extended family through this time.
-
Pray for God’s peace as he deals with ongoing health struggles. Pray for good treatment options to address pain and other symptoms.
