Personal Testimony

I invited the Lord Jesus to be my personal Savior on January 22, 1962, while attending a youth retreat in the Pocono Mountains.  I was under deep conviction by the Holy Spirit and when I heard the gospel (possibly for the first time) and was told that Jesus took my place on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin, I prayed to receive Him into my life.  One year later (January 1963) I graduated from Northeast High School in Philadelphia and enrolled at Northeastern Bible College in Essex Falls, New Jersey.

 

TRAINING

Following graduation from Northeastern in 1967, Pastor Haslam pursued his graduate degree at Faith Seminary in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.  After graduating from Faith in 1971, he entered the pastorate and has pastored churches in New Jersey, Colorado, Illinois and presently, here in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Bob earned his D.Min degree from Trinity Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana (1996). Also, he is presently a Ph.D candidate at Canterbury Christ Church University, England.

FAMILY

Pastor Bob and his wife, Doris,
have two children, Matt and Judy.

They have eight grandchildren:
Crystal, Chase,
Kyle, Amara,
Clara, Ephraim,
Anthony, & Dylan

Here they are with their son Matt's family.

Pastor Bob is a VW Classic Bug enthusiast and has restored two 1973 models (a Super Bug and a Type I).

Pastor Bob enjoys gardening,walking his dog, fishing & VW's.
