At Grace Baptist Church, music takes an active role in the pursuit of honoring God through heart-felt, sincere, corporate worship. We believe that worship is a process that begins when God’s people gather and continues through the spoken Word, where God’s people have an opportunity to respond to the moving of the Holy Spirit. We believe that worship is central in the lives of our people both at church and as they live their daily lives. In order to facilitate that worship, we have many opportunities for people to utilize their God-given gifts and talents in the areas of music, drama, and technology.

ADULT CHOIR
The Adult Choir is a large mixed group that rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30pm and ministers each Sunday morning from September through May. They sing SATB arrangements in a wide range of musical styles from R&B, traditional, a cappella, southern gospel, contemporary, and praise/worship with live instrumental or recorded accompaniment. Highlights of the choir year include participating in various scheduled concerts including the annual Christmas cantata, patriotic events, and spring worship concerts. Various fellowship activities are planned throughout the year too!

MEN'S CHOIR
Featuring a large group of ‘singing men’, the Men's Choir rehearses each Wednesday night from 6:15 to 6:55pm and ministers once a month during the Sunday morning worship service from September through May. A powerful band of brothers singing to the glory of God!

SOUNDS OF PRAISE
Sounds of Praise is an instrumental ensemble of all ages and experience levels. We have a wide variety of instruments that come together to minister during worship services. Opportunities include scheduled preludes or offertories, accompanying congregational singing, and accompanying the choir during Sunday services or in our larger concert events. Rehearsals are on alternating Sunday mornings from 9:00-9:25am.

GRACE ON FIRE
Grace on Fire is a music and drama group for teens in 7th through 12th grade. Rehearsals are one Saturday per month with ministry dates one Sunday each month. Their exciting contemporary music and meaningful drama enhance the Sunday morning worship services. There are often opportunities to participate in the Christmas cantata and other large concerts also.

KIDS IN PRAISE
Using music and movement to express praise to the Lord, Kids in Praise is a children’s choir with musical and dramatic opportunities for 1st-6th graders. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:00pm. They minister once a month as part of the Sunday morning worship service. There are often opportunities to participate in the Christmas cantata and other large concerts throughout the year also.

CHERUB CHOIR
The Cherub Choir is a children’s choir for our youngest singers, children in the Pre-K/5s and Kindergarten Sunday School classes. They practice each week during the Sunday School hour worship time and minister once a month as part of the morning worship service. There are often opportunities to participate in the Christmas cantata and other large concerts also.

MORE MUSIC AND DRAMA GROUPS.
Other groups that are involved in the music ministry at Grace Baptist include: Ladies Ensemble, Mixed Ensemble, Resounding Praise: Chime Choir, VIVID: Drama Team, vocal soloists and small groups, instrumental soloists, accompanists, and small instrumental groups.

TECHNICAL/MEDIA TEAM
Nothing happens on the platform without the support of our media and technical team. Their behind-the-scenes efforts enhance each worship service and special event with sound, projection, lighting, and DVD recording.
